Product Description
Heat Shrink Silicone Rubber Tube
This heat shrink silicone rubber tube is made from silicone rubber rather than the usual cross-linked polyolefin, which changes what the tube can be asked to do. It is used for insulation, protection and sheathing applications, and offers superior heat and cold resistance, flexibility and electrical insulation - the combination that makes a silicone heat shrink sleeve the right choice where an ordinary polyolefin tube would harden, crack or lose grip.
Because the base is silicone rubber, the tube stays flexible across a much wider temperature band than polyolefin, so it suits cable ends and harnesses that see heat cycling or cold service. Where a job calls for high temperature heat shrink tubing or a flexible silicone rubber sleeve for electrical insulation, this is the member of the range to specify.
Electrically it is a true insulation sleeve: dielectric strength ≥20 kV/mm, volume resistivity ≥1×10¹¹ Ω·cm, and high tear strength ≥20 kN/m - so it resists the nicks and abrasion that a hand-routed harness or a sheathed cable end will meet in service. It is supplied in black and grey as standard colours, with other colours available upon request, so tube colour can double as phase or circuit identification.

Key points
Silicone rubber, not polyolefin - the differentiator that drives heat resistance, cold resistance and flexibility.
Superior heat and cold resistance - keeps flexibility where ordinary polyolefin would stiffen.
Superior flexibility - conforms to tight bends and irregular shapes in harness and sheathing work.
Electrical insulation - ≥20 kV/mm dielectric strength, ≥1×10¹¹ Ω·cm volume resistivity.
Tough under handling - tear strength ≥20 kN/m, elongation at break ≥450%.
Three uses from one part - insulation, protection and sheathing.
Standard colours black and grey; other colours available upon request.
Silicone vs polyolefin (one-paragraph comparison, link out): cross-linked polyolefin heat shrink (WRSHG) is the general-purpose, cost-effective choice for sealing and protection at normal cable-service temperatures; silicone rubber (this page) is chosen when the temperature band is wider, when flexibility is critical, or when the sleeve is being used as a sheathing layer that must not stiffen. For a full side-by-side, see the heat shrink tube family comparison.
Applications
Electrical insulation - over conductors, splices and terminations needing a flexible insulating sleeve.
Protection - abrasion and nick protection for wires and cables in routing and handling.
Sheathing - an outer flexible layer over a cable or bundle.
Wire harnesses - where heat cycling and bend radius rule out a stiff tube.
High-temperature zones - equipment ends where the sleeve must hold flexibility when hot.
Cold-service equipment - where a polyolefin tube would stiffen and crack.
Colour-coded identification - black and grey standard, other colours on request.

Before heat shrink
A bright red silicone heat-shrink tubing in its initial, unheated state, held by a hand while a heat gun is positioned above it. The tube maintains its full diameter before thermal activation.
After Heat Shrinkage
The same red silicone heat-shrink tubing after being exposed to heat from the heat gun. The material visibly contracts and tightens under the thermal effect, demonstrating its high-performance shrinking capability.
