When the transformer oil temperature changes, the oil level in the oil conservator rises and falls, causing the air volume in the cabinet to change. When the oil level rises, part of the air in the cabinet is discharged to the atmosphere through the moisture absorber; when the oil level drops, there is insufficient air in the cabinet and air needs to be sucked in from the atmosphere. At this time, the air is sucked in through the silica gel desiccant in the moisture absorber, and the silica gel absorbs it. Remove the moisture in it, thereby filtering the moisture in the air and preventing the aging of the transformer insulating oil.
Structural composition of transformer moisture absorber
Moisture absorber cap: Usually connected to the transformer tank to form a sealed connection to ensure that gas can only flow through the moisture absorber system.
Moisture absorber duct: Used to connect the moisture absorber cap and other components so that gas can flow within it.
Moisture-proof agent: Generally made of hygroscopic materials such as silica gel, it is the core component of the moisture absorber and is used to absorb moisture in the air.
Filter: It can filter dust and impurities in the air to prevent them from entering the transformer.
Oil collector: Installed at the bottom of the moisture absorber, it contains transformer oil. When gas enters, the oil can adhere to the dust and further play a filtering role.
