Cross Flow Cooling Blower for Dry Type Transformers

01. PRODUCT OVERVIEW

This series of cross-flow cooling blowers adopts advanced foreign cross-flow structure design, equipped with micro-motors, and is widely used in dry-type transformers, electric control cabinets, and other equipment. It significantly improves the overload operation capacity of transformers and related products.

The GF series blowers produced by our factory are highly trusted by dry-type transformer manufacturers across the country, with complete specifications suitable for 30kVA–20000kVA dry-type transformers. Each transformer can be equipped with 4 to 6 GF blowers, and there are three main types:

Side-blowing fan

Top-blowing fan

Three-proof fan (TH)

All GF series blowers are manufactured using imported SUS304 mirror stainless steel plates and high-strength aluminum alloy plates, equipped with renowned brand motors from professional manufacturers and imported NSK/NTN high-quality bearings. They are sturdy, durable, and reliable with excellent performance. Key advantages include:

Low energy consumption, large air volume, and excellent cooling efficiency

Rational structure, elegant appearance, easy installation, and robust reliability

Low vibration, low noise, dynamic balance, and long service life

02. WORKING PRINCIPLE

When the GF series cooling blower is used with a dry-type transformer, the fans are installed on both sides of the coil, blowing cold air directly into the high-voltage and low-voltage cooling air ducts of the transformer. This effectively dissipates heat, ensuring the normal operation and extending the service life of the dry-type transformer. Functions such as fan start/stop and over-temperature alarm are controlled by the temperature controller.

03. NORMAL USAGE CONDITIONS

Ambient temperature: -5°C to +40°C

Relative air humidity: ≤ 95% (at 25°C)

Altitude: ≤ 1000m

No corrosive or explosive gases in the surrounding environment

★ If operating conditions exceed the above parameters, please negotiate with the manufacturer for customized solutions.

04. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Before installation, check the casing for foreign objects and ensure all connections are firm and secure.

The fixed bracket of the fan must have sufficient rigidity to avoid vibration during operation.

Ensure the power supply voltage and steering direction match the rated values on the motor nameplate. Multiple fans on the same transformer can be connected individually or in parallel to the power supply or controller. Larger units should use intermediate relay control. For single-phase fans, the steering is pre-adjusted at the factory and can be used directly upon power-up. Three-phase fans must confirm the correct rotation direction before use.

Verify the impeller rotation direction matches the marked direction. If inconsistent, swap any two phases of the three-phase power supply to correct the rotation.

05. MAINTENANCE & OPERATION GUIDELINES

Before use, test the insulation resistance, which must exceed 2 MΩ. If the fan is hot or humid, the minimum insulation resistance is 0.5 MΩ.

Before starting the fan, inspect the unit for physical damage, check all connections for reliability, and ensure the impeller rotates freely without obstruction.

Regularly clean dust and debris inside the fan to maintain optimal air volume and cooling efficiency.
