This is a polyimide reinforced mica tape (Synthetic Mica Tape with Polyimide Reinforcement), also known as PI-based synthetic mica tape. It is a high-performance insulation material used in high-end fire-resistant cables and special motor windings.
Key Features
Material and Structure: Made with synthetic fluorophlogopite paper as the base material, using high-temperature resistant silicone resin as the adhesive, and a single-sided or double-sided composite polyimide (PI) film as the reinforcing layer, it comes in golden yellow or amber rolls.
The addition of the polyimide film gives the product both the high-temperature insulation of mica and the excellent mechanical strength and chemical resistance of PI.
