This is an epoxy glass fiber reinforced mica tape, also known as adhesive epoxy resin fiberglass cloth mica tape, a high-performance insulation material specifically designed for motor and generator windings.
1. Temperature Rating of Epoxy Fiberglass Mica Tape
Long-term Continuous Operating Temperature:
F Grade: 155℃
H Grade: 180℃
This refers to the upper limit of the temperature at which the winding insulation can operate stably for a long period during normal operation of the motor/transformer, and is a core indicator of the insulation system.

2.Short-term Heat Resistance/Fire Resistance Temperature:
The mica substrate itself can withstand high temperatures of 500–850℃ (phlogopite up to 850℃, muscovite approximately 550℃).
In the event of a fire or short-term overload, even if the epoxy adhesive layer decomposes, the mica paper can still maintain its insulating structure, providing critical safety protection for the equipment.
3.Material and Structure
Made with natural phlogopite/mica paper as the base material, using epoxy resin as the adhesive, and single- or double-sided laminated with alkali-free glass fiber cloth as the reinforcing layer. It comes in light brown rolls, and some models are self-adhesive.
4.Applications
Main insulation for stator windings of large and medium-sized high-voltage motors, steam turbine generators, and wind turbine generators.
Suitable for VPI (Voltage Impregnation) processes, it is a core material in high-voltage motor insulation systems.
