-Visual observation method:
1. Look at the color and texture of the iron core. The high-quality toroidal transformer core is seamlessly rolled from oriented cold-rolled silicon steel sheets, usually gray with fine stripes. The non-oriented ones are white and have large texture gaps.


2. Look at the thickness of the iron core. A good iron core is seamlessly rolled. Relatively speaking, the thinner the silicon steel sheet, the better the quality, because the lower eddy current loss occurs.


3. Look at the iron core manufacturing process. Whether the surface of the iron core is smooth and flat, whether the thickness is uniform, whether there are burrs on the shear port of the high-pressure pump, etc.


4. It is also important to look at the quality of the insulation layer to minimize multi-point short circuits.

-Instrumental test method:
1. No-load test. According to the design of the toroidal transformer, the iron core is wound with a coil of the corresponding number of turns, and the AC current of the corresponding size is passed. The size of the current is measured to judge the quality of the iron core. The smaller the no-load current of the transformer, the quality of the iron core. The better, and the ampere-turn design is very reasonable.


2. Load test. During the test, feel the temperature changes during the operation of the transformer. A fast temperature rise indicates a large loss of the iron core. Of course, you can also pay attention to whether there is noise during the operation of the transformer.
