Multi-layer Composite Mica Tape is a high-performance insulation material specifically designed for the main insulation of high-voltage motor and generator stator windings. It is composed of multiple layers (typically 2–4 layers) of ultra-thin mica paper (phlogopite or muscovite) bonded with high-temperature resistant epoxy resin, forming a dense, uniform composite structure.
This multi-layer design ensures uniform electric field distribution, significantly improving the winding's resistance to partial discharge and electrical breakdown. It is the core material for modern high-voltage insulation systems, especially compatible with the VPI (Vacuum Pressure Impregnation) process, forming a robust, long-lasting insulation structure.
