Silicon Metal Sheet  is a transformer core lamination stamped from cold-rolled grain-oriented silicon steel sheets (CRGO Silicon Steel) or cold-rolled non-oriented silicon steel sheets (CRNGO).

The "EI" designation refers to its structural shape: an assembly of E-shaped and I-shaped sheets. It is widely used in small transformers, power transformers, inductors, reactors, and more.

It is a standardized stamped core that is easy to process and assemble, and offers excellent magnetic and electrical insulation properties.
