It is widely applied in paper-insulated and oil-impregnated cables, providing stable dielectric performance, controlled moisture behavior, and long-term insulation reliability.
Application in Cable Structures
Cable insulation paper is typically used at the following positions within cable constructions:
Conductor wrapping insulation
Layer insulation between conductor layers
Insulation between conductor and metallic sheath
Core insulation for oil-impregnated paper-insulated cables (PILC)
It is suitable for low-, medium-, and high-voltage power cables, depending on insulation design and thickness selection.
